Hoslow's Hellions
Overview
Venator Skill Access: 1) Agility 2) Shooting 3) Combat 4) Savant
A disparate band of the fallen, the rebellious and the infamous held together by the willpower and charisma of the outcast scion of a fractured noble house. A motley mix of humans, abhumans and even the odd xenos who hunt even as they themselves are hunted. Following the ambitions of their leader, they blast and cut their way through the underhive and the wastelands beyond until his family’s betrayers are brought low and dragged through the sump as he was…alongside any others who dare to stand in his way.
Hoslow Valencor
The second son of House Valencor, Hoslow's older brother had long ago forsaken his noble birthright in favor of a simpler life among the House’s mining gangs. This left Hoslow as the heir apparent to his family's legacy...and the one who had the most to lose when House Valencor's supposed allies wrought upon them a most vile betrayal.
What the Valencors’ enemies didn’t know was that Hoslow was unique amongst his siblings; he had been born with a certain gift, unwanted though it had been. A gift of supernatural foresight, of whispers that warned him of impending doom. His mother had discreetly employed a psychic tutor throughout his upbringing and eventually he was sanctioned in secret. And it was this gift, which he had so maligned growing up, that allowed him to save the lives of himself and his siblings when his House fell.
In the wake of that devastation, Hoslow became dead set on vengeance and, in his eyes, justice. Justice against the noble houses who stabbed his in the back, against those who profited off his losses and suffering, and if necessary, against the Imperial House which gave these traitors its tacit support. But first, Hoslow Valencor must rebuild a base of power in the depths far beneath the Spires he once called home. Fortunately, his psychic talent and his many decades of training with the pistols will serve him well in the ever-dangerous underhive.
Kestryd Valencor
The youngest of the Valencor children to survive her family's massacre, Kestryd had always looked up to her elder siblings. This stood in stark contrast to the vast majority of noble children who were overlooked in the succession process and jealously coveted the position of heir. Hoslow in particular had always been protective of her, encouraging her to take up the hobby of marksmanship as he had where she discovered a natural talent for the long rifle. After crawling out of the ruins of House Valencor with a shattered leg, Kestryd disappeared for well over a decade without a trace...until the day Hoslow Valencor began to assemble his team, prompting Kestryd to emerge from the underhive shadows to join his personal crusade. But where had she been all those years, and with whom? And is she still loyal to her older brother, or could it be that in the wake of her family's fall, Kestryd has acquired ambitions of her own?
Tall Hawl Keeler
Once a simple sump-sailor and part-time thug, the one-legged ogryn Hawl stumbled into the luckiest day of his life when he found a bleeding man in tattered uphive finery lying on the concrete banks of a sludge river. Hawl correctly deduced that the man was of noble birth, but incorrectly deduced that the man might be worth a small fortune in ransom. Hawl took the dying man to a rogue doc and got him patched up enough to then properly threaten his life in exchange for money. Weeks of shrewd negotiations followed in which the ogryn learned the story of Hoslow Valencor and his family's sudden collapse; it was only after the two eventually agreed to enter a tentative partnership that Hoslow rewarded the ogryn with enough credits smuggled out of his family's ruined estate to buy himself a new augmetic leg, a far more functional sump-ship and a hardy crew. His strength, ruthlessness and infamy quickly skyrocketed, earning himself the moniker "Tall Hawl Keeler". Over time, the two became something vaguely resembling trusted allies; thus when Hoslow sought out skilled fighters to take the fight back to his enemies, Tawl Hawl was the first to receive and accept his call to arms.
