The Martyrs Militant
Overview
In the endless sprawl of the Underhive, death is cheap — but to the Martyrs Militant, it is sacred coin. This fanatical warband believes that every wound suffered, every brother burned alive, every skull ground to dust is a holy tithe offered to the Emperor’s unquenchable wrath.
Their creed is simple and brutal: to die in fire is to live eternal in His sight. Each gang member carries a death-oath carved into their own flesh, promising to perish in battle rather than slink into obscurity. They adorn themselves with charred reliquaries — jawbones, cracked femurs, even the soot-blackened fingers of their fallen comrades — bound into their armor as proof of devotion.
On the battlefield, the Martyrs Militant are terrifying in their disregard for survival. They charge headlong into gunfire, chanting litanies of burning judgement, hurling firebombs and swinging purgation-blades until only ash and ruin remain. Should one fall, his brothers rejoice, dragging his body into the flames so that his soul may blaze a path for those who remain.
For the Martyrs Militant, every death is a sermon, every battle a funeral rite, and every flame a scripture written in smoke.
