Ned's Iron 'eds
Overview
Ned unsnapped his holster and drew his pistol, thumbing the activation switch in the process. Its plasma coils hummed to life as a familiar reassuring feeling calmed his mind.
Lil' N3d, his ever vigilant cyber-mastiff, had alerted Ned to possible danger nearby. Ned had been around long enough to know when to trust his gut, and right now it was telling him a fight was coming.
The life of an Orlock gang leader on Necromunda was never easy. Ned kept the population in line, making sure to protect the interests of House Orlock along the way, and prayed to the God Emperor just in case. He surrounded himself with warriors armed with guns and grit, and whatever kind of courage could be found at the bottom of an amasec bottle. Men came and went, their deaths fogged over in Ned's mind by time.
A creek suddenly came from the metal door as it slowly opened, a boot emerging with a heavy step. It was Ced, one of Ned's gangers, but something wasn't right. Ced stumbled in grasping for a hold on the door. And it was at this moment Ned saw the blade sticking out of Ced's back, a blade Ned recognized immediately as belonging to a rival gang from lower in the stack.
"One Punch" Red
The Grotto Bar was lively, the bartender slinging cheap swill as quickly as the tap would pour. Ned let out a long breath, finally able to get some sort of respite after the gang's triumphant encounter with a Delaque ambush party. Those shadow dwellers were always mucking about in the Orlock territories and Ned despised them to no end.
Next to Ned was his most trusted lieutenant, Red. Red's imposing figure was the embodiment of intimidation. If he yelled an order, men followed. Ned grew up with Red, joining the gang both as juves, both quickly proving they had what it took to climb the ranks. The brotherhood they formed was stronger than iron, each willing to put down their life for the other.
