2026-07-05: ‘Classic’ cards, Tools of the Trade and notifications
New:
- Classic cards: You asked, we answered! Gyrinx now offers a “classic” option for printed fighter cards, including grimier visuals and useful features for taking notes on the tabletop. When printing your gangs select ‘Classic cards’ to access this option. Plus, they even show fighter pictures (which can be added via a fighter’s “Lore” tab).

- Tools of the Trade: Direct support for Equipment Sets is here! Fighters with Tools of the Trade can now define and select different sets of equipment. Hit the icon in the top-right of their cards, or go to the dropdown menu on a fighter’s card and click “Equipment Sets” to get started. Your gang rating and printouts will reflect whichever sets you have selected.
- Notifications: Gyrinx now supports on-site notifications. For now, we’ll use these sparingly for updates and service information, but in time we’ll add more features for players and arbitrators!
Fixed:
- We're fixing some rare long-standing cost-calculation bugs in Gyrinx. As a result, some existing gangs will have their rating corrected, it may go up or down, to match what their fighters and equipment actually cost. We'll send a notification if one of your gangs is affected, so you can see exactly which changed.
2026-07-01: Venator skills and UI tweaks
New:
- Venator gang-wide skill choice support You can now select and rank four different skill trees for your Venator gangs to access. You’ll be prompted to pick your skills at gang creation. You can edit these choices, or add them to an existing gang from the gang’s page by hitting Edit, then the Manage skill trees option.
- Mobile UI tweaks We’ve made some tweaks to the header UI for lists on mobile to make them cleaner and easier to read.

- Various bits of code bloat have been de-Nurgled.

2025-08-28: Big improvements to printing and performance
New:
- You should find Gyrinx is generally snappier — there’s still some work to be done on this front, but hopefully the Great Outcast Lag is well behind us.
- On printing, we’ve made various tweaks to make cards fit better in landscape and portrait layouts. As part of this, we’ve tried to hide extraneous rows on fighter cards when in a print view — so no more printing that your fighter has no skills. This has freed up space for us to make the text bigger and clearer in other areas. If you find your cards are spilling over, try tweaking the scale settings a bit in your computer’s print dialogue box.
2025-08-17: Generic House Agents added
New:
- All the generic House Agent profiles have now been added
- Profiles are named as P1, P2 etc, following the order they appear in the relevant book
2025-08-11: Outcasts and special gang types
New:
- Full support for Outcast gangs has landed. You can find out more here: https://gyrinx.app/help/outcasts/
- — Outcasts leaders and champions can now take Archetypes to determine their skill set access.
- — Outcast gangs can also choose an Outcast Affiliation, which determines the gang’s equipment access.
- We’ve also added support for various types of special gang types (like Chaos Corrupted or Crusading)
- You can find out how to use these features here: https://gyrinx.app/help/tipsandtricksforlists/#corrupted-gangs
- Other stuff
- House gang vehicles should now see their special equipment lists (from Necromunda Apocrypha).
- You can now edit ammo types on owned weapons.
2025-08-11: Changes since last update
New:
- Equipment Enhancements
- Gear items now support upgrades editing just like weapons
- You can now edit weapon assignment to give them special ammo
- We now have an equipment list expansion system for dynamic availability rules, to support Outcasts and similar Necromunda fun
- Performance Optimisations
- Major database query improvements across list views, equipment expansions, and attribute queries, reducing load times and N+1 query issues. Lots more to do here, but this is a solid start.
- Skills & Powers
- Default skills are now editable
- Show Restricted toggle for skills and psyker powers
- Weapon Profile Expansions
- Equipment list expansions now support weapon profiles with cost overrides, allowing for conditional special ammo availability based on gang attributes and fighter categories.
- Campaign Invitations
- New invitation system for campaigns - gang owners receive proper invitations they can accept or decline, replacing the old direct-add approach.
Fixed:
- Fixed equipment cloning for linked fighters (vehicles/beasts)
- Proper house filtering for injuries
- Skill category validation errors resolved
- Campaign asset type duplicate name handling
2025-08-04: Changes since last update
New:
- Customisable Fighter Terminology
- Different "fighter" types (vehicles) now display appropriate terminology throughout the interface.
- Vehicles show "damage" instead of "injuries" and use context-specific terms.
- Print Configuration System
- Create custom print layouts for your gangs/lists.
- Choose which cards to include, select specific fighters
- Save multiple configurations for different purposes.
- Enhanced Equipment Access
- Houses with "can buy any" permission (i.e. Venators) can now access both their equipment list and trading post items.
- Improved UI for weapon accessories with better filtering and search.
- XP Outside Campaigns
- Experience points and advancements now work in non-campaign games, giving more flexibility for narrative play. This is part of "skirmish mode" support.

- Quality of Life Improvements
- Print button moved to main UI
- Better handling of captured fighters
- Improved mobile display for stats

- Numerous bug fixes for cloning lists, equipment assignment and database queries.
2025-08-06: Unborn Goliath skill access
New:
- Unborn fighters can now choose additional Primary skill sets, in line with the Outsider rule.
2025-08-01: Special rule overrides
New:
- Gyrinx now supports manually editing fighters’ special rules. Go a fighter’s card, and click the Edit rules option next to their Rules.
- Any fighter that gains the Psyker, Non-sanctioned psyker or sanctioned psyker rule automatically gains access to Wyrd powers. So if you want to turn an unusual fighter Wyrd, this is a helpful workaround.
2025-07-31: Spyrer weapon glitches and and Tech skill support
New:
- Spyrer weapon glitches
- Some Spyrer rig glitches place a negative modifier on the injured fighter’s weapons.
- We’ve implemented these via a set of Spyrer-specific weapon accessories that debuff the weapon they are attached to.
- After determining which weapon is damaged, you can access them by going to the fighter’s Add or edit weapons screen, then click Accessories on the weapon you want to modify.
- Tech skill weapon modifications
- Two Tech skills (Weaponsmith and Gadgeteer) add and/or remove traits from weapons.
- We’ve implemented these via a set of hidden weapon accessories.
- To access them, go to the fighter’s Add or edit weapons screen, then click Accessories on the weapon you want to modify, and untick Only Equipment List. You should then be able to see options named Weaponsmith (X) and Gadgeteer (X). Add the relevant ones, and it will modify your weapons accordingly.
- Please note BUG: If you have Weaponsmith (add Plentiful) and a Gadgeteer (X) option on the same weapon, Plentiful will currently remain visible. We’d generally recommend simply removing Weaponsmith (add Plentiful) in this situation. We will figure out the twisted machine code needed to fix this down the line.
2025-07-25: Vehicle support added
New:
- Support for vehicles added. We’ve explained the basics in this help article: https://gyrinx.app/help/vehicles/
- You can now gain XP and advancements on lists that are outside of campaigns.
2025-07-22: Master-crafted weapons
New:
- Gyrinx now supports master-crafting weapons, with dynamic pricing based on the weapon’s cost.
- Master-crafting is treated as an accessory. So go to a fighter’s add/edit weapon view and select “accessories” under one of their weapons to see it
- Master-crafted will show a cost of 25% of the weapon’s cost, round up to the nearest 5 creds.
- If you need to workaround the cost (for instance if you master-crafted upgrade is free via a Gun Smyth), the way to do it is to use the dropdown next to the “accessories” button and manually set the cost of the whole weapon. We’ll look at the possibility of accessory-by-accessory cost overrides in the future.
- Some fighters have master-crafted weapon on their lists. We are letting these stay, because in at least one case (Cawdor melee weapons), the Master-crafted version is cheaper than the standard 25% formula. We think maintaining them offers the simplest support.
2025-07-18: Ferrymen and generic crews added
New:
- Ferrymen now supported
- Regular ferrymen crews can be added. They are grouped under “Abyssal Ferrymen” in the fighter selection drop-down.
- Generic Rig-hands are coded by movement (M3, M4, M5), whereas generic Skippers are coded by the order they appear on Desolation (P1, P2, P3), the latter is due to indistinct early stats.
- The “dramatis personae” ferrymen are also in: remember that both sets have a rule that lets you hire the partner at a discount: you can use the cost override box pre- or post-hiring to reflect this.
- All the skipper variants have access to an “Enclave” option that lets them select an Enclave and gain its rules. Nb we can’t yet set the pre-determined enclaves that the DP ferrymen have, we’ll work on this.
- Ferryman Steersman rules are in, but they don’t yet have their rigs.
- Generic crews added
- Scum Racer, Guild of Coin Haulier and Ferryman Steersman profiles have all been added.
2025-07-09: Separate tabs for notes and lore on fighter cards
New:
- Fighter cards now have separate “Info” and “Lore” tabs, replacing the “Notes” tab.
2025-07-06: Alliance fighters added
New:
- All of the Alliance delegation profiles have now been ingested and are available to use!
- They all have the Book of the Outcast elevated delegation costs by default, but you can override these to zero if you want to use them as delegates from campaign allies.
2025-07-05: Public beta launch.
- Gyrinx has launched into public beta.
