Overview
In the soot-choked depths of Hive Primus, where faith and fire intertwine, a peculiar legend took root. The gang known as the Cult of Mabel traces its origins to a derelict hab-block where a lone tuxedo cat emerged from the ash storms — pristine, unburnt, and utterly serene. The locals, starved of hope and riddled with plague, saw her survival as divine intervention. She was dubbed Saint Mabel the Unsinged, and her every purr was interpreted as prophecy.
Brother-Curate Jorvan, a low-ranking Cawdor zealot, claimed Mabel had guided him to a cache of ancient relics (mostly broken toasters and devotional candles). Declaring her a living saint, he founded the Cult, preaching that Mabel was the physical incarnation of the Emperor’s mercy — soft, silent, and always watching.
