Overview

Throughout the Imperium its creator is revered, h** will is sacrosanct, h** word is truth and the Imperial citizens strive to achieve the greatness set out for h** creation. The Imperium is enormous though and with that size comes corners, nooks and crannies, places where h** light is harder to reach. Through the mists of the machines and people working keeping this enormous engine running, in the darkness of these corners whispers may be heard, and within the Drake Sector there are many, many dark corners in which these subtle welcoming whispers may be heard.

The whispers speak words most are too paralysed with fear to even think, but some, the foolish, or the brave dare to listen. What if there is more than h*m? What if there is more for you? What if there is more for humanity? There is promise in the soft caress of the voices from the dark, that one day you may truly be free, unshackled from the burden of the chains placed on you by those who wish to keep you blind from truly opening your eyes and seeing. 

Many are the number of those who decide to commit the sin of thought and allow themselves to finally hear: former guardsmen, citizens of the hives and sometimes even those of the merchant class. There may even be murmurs of those who once swore to uphold h*s will and would have laid down their life for it, giving in to this most egregious of sins to remove their Imperial binds and unleash their true potential.

The eyes of the Imperium cannot watch everywhere especially when the wounds of devastation within Drake Sector are so raw. The dark places in which these sounds come from are home to a myriad of cults preaching the Truth, the Truth beyond the Imperial truth. Within the Drake Sector there is one such cult that is beginning to stretch its tendrils out, to mark the sector and leave it blessed by the True Gods. The Cult of Eight Eyes allow their name to be heard to those who are capable of understanding, they allow the whispers to become song. For those who are now blessed with sight and hearing of the Truth can begin to beseech their kin and bolster followers for the cause of freedom.

What is Truth, what is freedom? Allow yourself to let loose the Imperium's shackles from your mind and peer into the knowledge of the abyss, within the cold, deep black and nothing you will see what the Imperium wishes to hide from you. That there is nothing, we mean nothing and there is no grand plan for humanity to strive for. To become more than a shell used for the corpse god's whims you must accept that nothingness and let yourself be moulded by the true Gods of the universe, to be given the freedom to spread their word and show the power you now wield.

Go now followers of Eight Eyes and allow the followers of the pathetic corpse god to see you in all your splendour and might. Kill the weak who are too pathetic to defend themselves so that their feeble lives can be given in sacrifice so that the Dark Gods may revel in their suffering and bless us in return. The Imperium wishes the Drake Sector to be a shining image of man, and we shall give them that image and show them that man is free. Maim the weak who cannot resist us, kill all those who stand in our way, burn down all that is seen as sacred in h** image for the Dark Gods reign supreme. Maim, kill, burn, maim, kill, burn, MAIM, KILL, BURN.

The Cult of Eight Eyes has been slumbering for years now, and as the Drake Sector fell into despair and darkness the Cult was nourished with the power of suffering. The Dark Gods enjoyed this seed of a cult sprouting and blooming within the darkness. The cult was able to build up its own small armoury of equipment through various means. Subterfuge and trickery of the easily led and naïve, ambushes of lightly guarded law enforcement patrols and new initiates and the supplies they may bring. Upon entering the cult you shed your old name and station to become a part of humanity's new destiny, with the Dark Gods mutterings informing the cult witches of your new name.
