The fighters of the Poisoned Web actually began life as the Shining Web.

Whilst traversing the Underhive, they rescued a heavily wounded trader from some underhive scum. This was to be the start of their downfall.

The trader told them of a vast cache of Archeotech he had seen in the ruins of Hive Secundus. He handed them a map and an ominous warning of a deadly man, a Patriarch, who guarded the treasures. Before they could find out why he had not snagged the treasures himself, he expired.

For a Van Saar gang, there was no question of what to do now. The gang set off for Hive Secundus, and it's fate with destiny. 

The gang found the Archeotech. And they found the Patriarch. Most died, but a few survived, and became part of the Patriarch's people. 

He gifted them some Archeotech treasures to take back, a guardian to help protect them, and a mission to spread the light of the Patriarch to other Hives. 

And so was born the Poisoned Web...
