Led by Raksha Ko’Iron and her Lifeward, Wymond Whitemane, the The Most Righteous and Bellicose Choir of the Howling Prophet is a small but warlike sect guided by a cynocephalic prophet. 

Many moons ago, Raksha desired only to prove herself worthy of becoming a Novitiate in the Order of the Bloody Rose, and devoted her childhood to prayer, study, training herself in body and mind to become a weapon worthy of the God-Emperor of Mankind. 

Years passed this way before Raksha’s world was shattered in the dead of night by a vision sent from the Emperor himself: A powerful, otherworldly warrior was in need of help, beset by hideous cultists. The young Ko’Iron awoke with a start, the howling of the warrior’s battle-psalms still ringing in her ears. 

Raksha told her mother about her vision, and was let into the family secret: for generations certain blessed members of their family had served the Emperor through the Holy Order of the Martyred Hound. As the seventh child whose parents were each seventh children themselves, Raksha’s parents had been waiting for her to show signs of having been blessed by the Master of Mankind and the Martyred Hound through which He sometimes channels His boundless power. 

Her moment had come. 

Outfitted with enough wargear to keep her safe, but not so much that she drew envious or murderous attention in the Underhive, Raksha was sent off to pursue the vision sent to her by the Emperor. Accompanied by her lifeward, Zer Gévaudan, the young Ko’Iron descended into the Underhive to hunt for the beleaguered warrior she’d seen in her dream. 

After countless cycles, the sounds of singing and screaming reached them through the filth-crusted tunnels and the pair knew they’d reached their destiny.

Rounding a corner, Raksha beheld a malformed creature ripping and tearing through a helot cult, bellowing defiance and prayers to the Emperor even as it tore through the ragged heretics. Roaring her own battle-hymns, Raksha Ko’Iron VII rushed to join the fray, fighting side-by-side with the canine creature.

With the cult dead or scattered, Raksha felt filled with an ineffable sense that this was where she was meant to be, and that the Howling Prophet was somehow tied to a great destiny unfolding before her.  She and Zer Gévaudan struck an accord with the malformed creature, which has since joined Ko’Iron’s warband.

They’ve been slaughtering their way through the underhive ever since, picking up a ragged group of the faithful eager to find purpose and protection. 

The newly-formed Most Righteous and Bellicose Choir of the Howling Prophet has been following the snarled proclamations of their canine envoy ever since. The holy abhuman raves about a ‘green gang’ at the ‘Ford of Guilders’ which must be crushed.
Knowing that the God-Emperor of Mankind speaks through their prophet’s malformed mouth, Raksha and her gang are on the warpath, and bound for Guilders-Ford.

The snarling, cynocephalic abhuman discovered in the depths of the Underhive by Raksha Ko'Iron VII has been dubbed the Howling Prophet by that blessed scion of the hallowed and noble house. 

Never still and never quiet, the restless creature paces and mutters scraps of barely-intelligible scripture and prophetic visions, but when unleashed in battle against the enemies of the God Emperor of Mankind, the Howling Prophet is an unstoppable force of sanctioned violence, screaming war-psalms which can be heard even over the roar of its chain weapons and he cries of its enemies.
