Operating from abandoned chem-refineries beneath Ashkabar Reach, the Black Widow Sisters are feared as assassins, smugglers of rare toxins, and collectors of secrets. Every contract, every alliance, and every betrayal is carefully woven into a web that only their Queen truly understands.

Reputation in Ashkabar Reach
The Black Widow Sisters are not the largest Escher gang in the Reach, but they are among the most feared. Their influence extends far beyond the firefight, through poison, extortion, espionage, and carefully cultivated alliances. Guilders pay them for discreet eliminations, merchants buy their rare chem-toxins, and even hardened gangers think twice before accepting a drink from an unfamiliar hand.
Among the gangs of Ashkabar Reach, a common saying has emerged:

Known throughout the Reach as “The Spider Queen,” Aranea Morwen rarely raises her voice. She doesn’t need to. Every word she speaks carries the certainty that someone will die if ignored.
She believes victory is achieved before the first shot is fired. Rivals are bribed, poisoned, blackmailed or manipulated until resistance simply collapses.
Her stiletto sword, Widow’s Kiss, has ended the lives of Guild factors, Enforcer informants and rival gang leaders alike.
Rumour claims she keeps the names of every person who has ever crossed her, etched onto silk strips hidden within her quarters.

Despite her brutality, Scarlett is intensely loyal to Aranea and has served beside her since they were young Escher prospects.
