Overview

If the whisperways are to be believed the man that goes by the name Strontium was once an Archeotek in the House of Artifice, more, that he stood in their Chamber of Light. 

Whatever secrets he learned there drove him to leave the House of makers in search of an ancient treasure. Wether a weapon, an energy source, he does not say - even to, or especially not to the hired guns he has recruited as part of the 'Redox Protocols' - an even more mysterious set of plans that Strontium seems to have learned of in the Chamber of Light, and has lead him and his band of Tek-Hunters and Hereteks to here, or what Forgotten Riches they hope to uncover.

Strontium - House Hunt Leader 1 – 533 (Leader)

Strontium is presumably not his real name... Since he insists all of the members of his crew operated under monikers not usually heard outside of the ramblings of the machine-god mad sages of Mars.

Everything Strontium does is according to his Redox Protocols, from the people he recruited to the 'missions' they undertake. Everything according to forbidden wisdom he gleaned from a glimpse at the secrets held at the heart of House Van Saar. 

Some say this makes him an ArcheoTek, others say he is one of their mad kin, a HereTek, that he has pledged his mind and his soul to the Omniesiah, or the Great Dark Architect. Whatever the truth Strontium doesn't seem spiritually devoted to anything, not even the treasures they 'recover' - each mission is just another part of his Protocols. Each person a player in the grand plan.

Iridium - House Hunt Champion 1 – 533 (Champion)

The man Strontium has assigned the label 'Iridium' was somehow found, near death, haunting a long abandoned Orlock scrap mining camp on the edge of a hivequake crater – allegedly exactly where the Protocols said he would be.

Going by his body armour-come-survival suit, and his ornate weapons that he --by some miracle still held onto-- the stranger was himself once of the House of Artifice.

What hard times he had seen that had led him to lead such a hermitic half-life, no one knows. He won’t tell, and if those secrets are also in the Protocols, Strontium isn’t sharing them.

What the High Functionary did seem to know were the exact cocktail of chems to divert from his own Bodyglove to return the strength to Iridium’s body…. And the exact influx of Hereteknosicism to rebuild his mind into that of zealot.

Thorium - Squat Hunt Champion (Champion)

The Kynsman who goes by Thorium now, would be called a prospector. His kyn might call him a Claim Jumper. On Necromunda they call him a Dome Runner. 

He knows the Underhive like the back of his server arm, thought he knew it's every secret, and most of it's hidy-holes. If he doesn't know them, then he and his Kyn believe they can find them. So when the man calling himself Strontium promised... Well... Whatever treasure it was he tempted Thorium away with, Thorium gave up his old Kyn name. He left the settlement in the crater he had been calling home, and took up his place in the Redox Protocol. 

If you buy him a glass or two of Wyld Snake though, Thorium will hint that his Kyn name wasn't a million clicks away from the one he goes by today.

Argon - House Specialist 3 – 443 (Specialist)

Argon, like Bismuth, was one of the first two 'disciples' that joined Strontium when he fled from the chamber of light, muttering his grand plans. Just like Bismuth he is a genuine master from the House of Artifice, and often Strontium's prime confidant in the teknical matters of implimenting Strontium's Protocol. That he brings a deadly plasma weapon to their missions also make him a lynchpin of the the Redox Protocol.

Arsenic - House Hunter 3 – 443 (Ganger)

The man who goes by the name Arsenic keeps himself to himself, keeps his own secrets almost as cryptically as Strontium does. Many think he may even know some of the Redox Protocols themselves, stumbled upon them while uncovering more profitable things for his creepy breathern... That that is what lured him away from the deep cover of the House of Shadows and into the life of a band of treasure hunters.

Maybe whatever mysterious part of the Protocols he learnt, are the same quiet things he whispers to each bullet; before he sends it off across the darkness to dispatch his next target.

Bismuth - House Hunter 3 – 443 (Ganger)

The rumours are Bismuth was in fact with Strontium, present before whatever terrible secrets drove the Protocol's leader to abscond from the House of Artifice. Taking up the role of Bismuth in the Redox Protocol, the stalwart Van Saar is as dependable a member of the crew as his trusty Lasgun.

Cobalt - House Hunter 1 – 544 (Ganger)

The young woman known as Cobalt is the newest of Strontium's recruits into his Protocols, and if she is indeed a abscondee from the House of Artifice she could not have been long in their inner circles. Rumour has it she had never even handled a Laspistol before Strontium placed two in her hands. 

Cobalt perhaps knows the least of her leaders grand mad master plan - but she seems more than enthusiastic for the protocol to be nothing more than a plan to steal priceless Archeotek.

Krypton - House Hunter 3 – 443 (Ganger)

Krypton, like the rest of the Redox Protocol, is a role, a key component, not the real identity of the man in the mismatching bodysuit. Indeed he seems positively uncomfortable in it. His helmet has a bullet hole in it, and seems to have been taken from a totally different set of life-presevering armour. Krypton says it fits better, and seems to share non of the concerns of his Van Saar brothers for it's proper function, indeed he doesn't even seem to have the transdermal ports like others of the House of Artifice. 

Whoever is fulfilling the role of Krypton though, he's really handy with a shotgun...
