Ephraim Arrakosh emerged from hiding to lead the Congregation of the Serpent in a raid on a storage warehouse deep in the Underhive. There, his force clashed with a rival cult, the corpse-worshiping mob of the Murder-Tithe. The battle started with a series of explosions that saw Old Garvus blown from his vantage point, knocking him and his heavy stubber out of the engagement. The following race to secure the loot saw bitter close combat at the base of the storage stacks, while volleys of autogun fire were exchanged from the swaying tops. Although out of favour of their patron Daemon, the witch Grucius Flay successfully beseeched the entities of the otherside to engulf the a portion of the warehouse in unholy warpflame. The juves of the Tithe were unburned by the daemonic flames, however, sprinting and vaulting arrogantly through the roiling etherflames. Whether they were saved by luck or the blessings of their carrion-lord remains a matter of much contention in the Cult's wretched fane.

While Arrakosh and the Witch Grucius Flay were kept low by savage attacks, the latter taking an ignominious plunge from his lofty perch high above the ground, the lowly ganger Konrad Kruz proved his dedication to the Serpents of Fate, standing watch over his betters' injured bodies and keeping the enemy gangers away from the last few crates with well-aimed autogun bursts. Eventually, the hooting yobs of the Murder Tithe were driven back, leaving the bloodied but victorious cult to pore over the spoils of their victory.
