Overview

The Militarum's Arms Pub was a welcoming spot, bustling with Astra Militarum servicemen and women who'd come for a drink at the heart of their community. All were welcome, especially those freshly home from war far away somewhere in the galaxy. 

All that changed when a fresh batch of soldiers returned home from who knows where, but in amongst them came a field medic and a man shrouded under a hood. Once they strolled into that bar, it was never the same again. Regular patrons became hostile and vicious, cutting themselves off from the world and lurking in the bar. They drank more, and not just the regular alcohol but strange new brews concocted in the cellar. Many who tried these now liquors found it quenched a thirst neither water or any other booze could quench. They became reliant on it, describing it as "lifeblood". 

Many stay away from the bar now. The soldiers who wonder in for a drink rarely come out the same. The sign above the door, once welcoming, now hangs ajar and the name has been replaced by a crude, spray painted tag titling the venue "The Emperor's Arms". Where it once was just two uniformed arms shaking hands - a symbol of military comradery, the sign now boasts a third hand: a blue painted arm clawing its way up towards the heavens.
