The Enforcers threw hoses into the slaughter mill that was three murderous spyrers until eventually, largely thanks to the disintegration guns of the two companions, the smoke cleared to reveal a few surviving Enforcers surrounded by bloodied corpses. The spyrers took their tithe - 8 kills - but the bridge remains under the control of the foolhardy Enforcers. Stories of the battle reached the nearby settlement of Craptonne, and the terror of the spyrers grew
